A number of us have been to see Bob Scott, and pleased to report he is recovering well under careful guidance from Frantisek. He sent me this tale …
When I was transferred to Intensive Care after my bypass operation last week, I woke to find the surgeon standing at the end of the bed. I only remember this very vaguely. He asked me if I was feeling any pain. To which, apparently, I cheerfully answered, "no more than if I had been listening to a John Key speech". I am told the surgeon was not entirely amused but the two nurses with him cracked up completely.

I first came to Auckland Community Church early in 2004. Impressed by the strong sense of community and spiritual integrity within the church, I became increasingly curious. I now consider ACC to be my spiritual home and, for this reason, I am delighted to offer my services as part of the board. When I am not involved in ACC,
I worship at St Columba church, Grey Lynn. During the week I teach Kindergarten children for the Auckland Kindergarten Association. I also work as a masseur and healer. My interests include sustainability issues, gardening, politics, religion, cycling, swimming and railways. My family live near my home town of Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England. If would like to raise any issues or concerns regarding ACC, please feel free to contact me. I would be delighted to hear from you.

Peter Jenkins’ contributions to our life are many and various – he is very frequently a supper preparer, he maintains our web presence, he banks the collection, he manages the googlegroups email. He has helped move us into the 21st century through technology and concern for others. As well as that he has recently been joined with Michael in a civil union, works for Telecom, and is a spokesperson and webmaster for the Sensible Sentencing Trust – probably NZ’s most successful lobby group in it's area of focus. Peter was a valued board member for several years and helped with treasury and secretary functions.
