Letter from South Africa

From Sister Dorianne who runs an orphanage in South Africa for children orphaned by AIDS, to which ACC has made a donation

What a wonderful surprise I received when I got your letter, and how grateful and thankful I am to have received such a generous donation from you and your church companions. Do please give them our very very grateful thanks. It is not very often that I received such a generous gift. I shall go and bank it today!

We have just had a committee meeting and have received a request for two wall heaters to be installed in each of the two classrooms for the children in their rest areas, as the weather has turned so cold, so that will be a first priority from your gift -- also we are endeavouring (sp?) to get a load of nice sand for the children’s new sand pit which we have built for them and perhaps some outside toys, a jungle gym or a slide. So you see your gift will give a lot of pleasure to those 40 odd little ones, and on their behalf I say again --- THANK YOU!!

Sister Dorianne has just turned 94 and her work for Christ is still not done!! I am so thrilled that our support is going to be utilised so well and hope we can continue to support them!! Thanks from me as well, and bless you. Love Liz
